Another album I was waiting on this year. I saw these guys play at Echoplex with a friend in February of this year. I ended up buying We delete; erase EP, Wrestling Moves and donating them money and because we both my friend and I got a free poster. I got to meet Bobby Marcos and Daniel Evans. There liveset was really fucking good, the band played clean and played new songs from Orthodox. The liveset was actually recorded as well. A band called Junius and Caspian played as well which were good too but Native played first. I wished I brought a backpack since I was holding on to the merch throughout the whole show since it started at 9 pm and didnt end til about 12:30ish am close to 1. Nonetheless it was a good set they did. And now Orthodox was released on August 20 or 24 I dont remember the exact date but in between there. Bobby's vocals sorta change so did the band, sounding more mature than We delete and Wrestling moves. Too be honest I kinda didn't like the change but don't get me wrong it's still a really good album. I was hoping for at least a 10 song length with no short instrumentals like they had in Wrestling moves but instead it Orthodox is 8 songs. The songs are still driven in the same Native form but just more matured and toned down. Books on tape is one of my favorites from the album which was the first song to be previewed for Orthodox. I still hope Native does there thing still since the band was going through the bad stages in one being stressed out on making this release which took them 3 years to release it since Wrestling moves was released in 2010. It is a good album though I actually am waiting to see if amazon will have it for a cheaper price on CD if not then I'll buy the vinyl version of the album.

Native
Lately I been watching Angry Video Game Nerd. He reviews his games really well and it is funny as well. I heard of Native right when they were releasing there first full length Wrestling Moves, though it is not my favorite release by them it is still decent enough to hear and listen to at times. I have only heard of 2 other bands that have the same sound as Native the band The Reptilian and the new coming band I will post on here later on Alta. The band is a very odd genre that isn't heard anywhere or from what other people know. It has mixture of a midwest experimental indie soundish to it with, it's complicated to explain how they play until you listen to them. They have released 2 EP entitled "Are you there?, Hello?" and my favorite so far "We Delete; Erase". These 2 EP's are fucking badass shit; balls on the mother fucking walls. It's shit you can listen to anywhere. You can get high to it, fuck to it, cruise to it, even putting this shit on blast no one will fucking get pissed and yell "Turn that shit off!" I have heard of a new song they recently did, from the fans. They looked very dissappointed. I haven't heard that shit yet, but I am hoping to hear it soon. But for now check these 2 EP's and full length. 2 songs from the first EP were featured in a winter tour demo and another 2 songs from there second EP was featured on a split with fucking Lions of the north, MANS, and Lautrec. Yyeaahh fucking unique split right there that would not dissappoint your balls. Though the ones from the demo are different than from the EP while the ones from the Split are the same from the second EP. I couldn't find the Winter 07 demo but I will upload when I get the chance, it seemed like it's been deleted off mediafire for some strange fucking reason.
