Well like in the last posts I mentioned I did go to that set. I can't talk about Calculator without mentioning the other bands who played first. The first band that are (I assume) new played. Really digging the riffs here and there although no one seemed hyped for them. But many who stayed inside nodded and shit. Second band to play was Ten Thousand Leagues. I was suprised that Mark sang or even played new songs. The whole line up was different Andrew from Moldar played bass while Jeff from calculator played the guitar, nonetheless I was in love with the new tunes. La Bella was next which they announced a debut LP and played 2 new songs on their set I was digging the vibe a lot and I admire the vocalist from that band. He mentioned a story about taking his moms car driving a long way to watch calculator play. After that Dangers left, I wasnt too interested to see them although everyone else was and it seemed like most people went to go see them amd calculator. I stayed in the back on that one. Finally Calculator. I was front row on that one. They played 12 songs from all releases, we all shouted and screamed to those songs (I know the lyrics to these roots a little but more than the ones from This will come to pass. I havent heard that length as much but I loved it. At the end, they all took a photo and stuff I talked to Nik and told him he played a amazing set and asked for merch. Well I picked up the calc 7" in oxblood color and This will come to pass (I kinda wished I picked that shirt) its those nights I will remember its a sad day to say Moldar/Colorchromatic/Matsuri/John Cota/Summer Vacation/Calculator are all dead. God damn. Ill post a link to calculator's discography including the demo soon. I am planning on picking up New Forms 7" soon as well. I doubt Ill get the 4 way split LP. Almost everything I have id say.

Colossal Rex
Well I just found out they were once called Colossal Rex and released a 5 song single sided limited 12". I believe this was released last year. The songs were recorded in 2012 (still some confusion) but it is Colossal Wrecks alright. You can also download this for free or buy it off Mountain Man Records and I believe Lauren Records might have this as well.
Colossal Wrecks
Last night was one of the most important events I ever attended to. Calculator's final show. It went great and it was a extremely good set. A band called Sophie and Dangers played along side my cali favorites Ten Thousand Leagues and La Bella. Calculator played about 12 songs 1 off the last 7" another off New forms 7" and 5 off This will come to pass and another 5 off These roots grow deep. Possibly the best show I have ever went to. Well after the show I met up with Mark and I bought some merch off his label Kyeo Speaks months ago and well he was a nice guy. He had run out one of the tapes I ordered so he gave me 3 random tapes Kittyhawk, Fugue and Lester Freamon. I also got my Dream Caste tape I ordered. But he also gave me 3 records the 2 Ten Thousand Leagues splits and Colossal Wrecks debut LP (will talk about right now hold on) after that I went up to Nik about Calculator merch but he was pretty busy and I guess he didn't tell me that the merch was being sold at the back of the venue (Bridgetown DIY) and I got myself Calculator's final 7" and This will come to pass (Both Count Your Lucky Stars releases) in the end it was a cool ass night, I didnt get home until 1 in the morning. I was off beat tired. Today morning I woked up and looked at the zines I ordered and Mark threw in Her breathe on glass compilation cd What we left behind and Matsuri's Whales EP (no covers) but that is fine I can't complain. Well then I checked Colossal Wrecks and I found out these guys are from my hometown. I have known them or saw them being mentioned here and there through Lauren Records but didn't think they'd be from my area. Well they sound good. A pop punkish emo band is all I can say about them. I am not too familiar with them yet. But I will once I spin this record every so often. You can download there LP for free on their bandcamp or you can purchase one off Lauren Records or my city's finest label Mountain Man Records.

End of 2015
So it is almost end of the year and I am waiting on a counselor at my college campus. I'd want to point out the blogspot won't be active til January. So it'll be about 2-3 weeks with no posting. But next year there will be some amazing shit to post. Also keep an eye out on Sepia//Memory. Like the facebook page and stuff I have some releases to be soon released and I guess Re-released??? But yeah, this blogspot isnt dead yet but I'll likely be working on some s//m and mainly work. I want to have more time to record the new s//m songs and I might be doing something else if it comes to it. This year 26 releases suprised me to be my favorite. Old bands from past year or year before also new bands that came out this year who just impressed me so well. Youll probably get a video on these releases. My 2012 video got deleted so I will have to do that again.

All my wishes were thrown down a well and should die there
I found this band last night but I felt like posting them today, p.e I might not post until January maybe last days of December. This band is from San Diego and are right hands of Flowers taped to pens although Flowers is more of a modern emo band many band wagons would hop on, this one still holds the 90's early 00's tradition of emo jams. Which is why I just fucking loved this so bad. So they just released their 8 song debut this month (I haven't even downloaded yet) will soon. So if you like screamo bands with the 90's/early 00's sound you will not be disappointed. Im off to get up since its 7:36 and I have a long day ahead of me.

Small Steps- Death Became The Light
I don't think I ever mentioned this one? I thought I did. Anyway, Small Steps broke up this year after this full release. The band put out 2 ep's a set of demos as "Spider King" and this release. I actually enjoy this release as well, much different from the Puzzlejar ep but still has a fresh sound. The songs are harder, shorter and faster. This may be put on tape which I am waiting on so I can get one. It's sad see this band break up after not much recognition at all and little time of being an active band. Well I guess that's what happens to extremely good bands. It's barely morning and I am waiting on a tone of band merch and shit of that nature.

Zoo books/Water Polo Split
It has been raining like crazy today, I even heard the rain slamming against my window really hard, shit was a trip. Today is a trip cause Zoo books/Water polo split just came out. Zoo books features 2 new songs and a re-recorded song off the demo. Its pretty cool to see them highly active. Water Polo in the other side did 2 new songs slightly different than the EP (A tiny disappointed nonetheless okay)
