Freaky J and The Bears

I have a fucking cyst under my fucking armpit. It's not the first fucking time this has happened. It is about the 4th time. I had to go through a small surgery phase where they cut it and stings like a big bitch so I went over the internet and found a solution that might help without cutting it. Anyway, I was impressed by this band. The band name reminds me of some jazz band. But this band is no jazz band. They have a very 90's emo influence to there songs. I was very amazed. I literally thought this band was from '96 or '95. Im not so familiar with this bands bio since I just found out about them within the past hour. But fuck, did they rock my balls. The band released a 2007 demo (Im missing one of the songs out of the 8 which is track 7), a Self titled EP, and a split tape with 3 songs from the 2007 demo re mastered and a new song. All the songs are very good. It's almost a crossover between Patterns make sunrise, and I hate myself. I really liked this band. I tried looking around for anything. Not many blogs have spoken about this band (that I know of, I know many) So I thought it be grateful If they got some attention a bit out there. I am not sure if this band has broken up but from the looks of it I am sure they have. I uploaded a discography (missing one song). But other than that its all of them. This band is such a 90's wave emo band sound. Well I hope any of you guys download this. Wierd band name but you will be shocked how they really sound, Very fucking 90's emo.

The Spirit Of Versailles

Literally the first Real Screamo band I've ever heard in my life. The first song I heard from them was Because there aren't enough hours in a day. I flipped the fuck out. It was unique. I always thought bands such as Alesana and all those shit major bands was Screamo. The Spirit of Versailles proved me the fuck wrong. From Sioux Falls,South Dakota this band exploded my body and re-created a better one. I'm glad I found this band on one of my high school buds ipod, which I discovered in Early Fall 2008 from there I went on to different bands similar to this til even now for a band existing July 1998 - October 2000 they released many releases 8 songs cdr, The Confluence Of All The Senses EP, In line for halos 7", Rise from run/The spirit of versailles split 7", Songs Of the dead 2 Compilation, The spirit of versailles/Saqqara split 7", Live @ WNYU Radio Show (Which I think it was released in limited 7"), they also had an untitled unreleased song that was finally shown on there complete 2 disc cd discography. The discography is still available on there labels big cartel for 8 bucks. very cheap. It has all of the releases I named. This band is truly one of the first bands to actually inspire me into screaming rather than screaming and to influence me and letting me know that major labels are totally fucking shit. One of the most important bands in my life I would say this one. Though not my favorite but the first to haved opened my eyes. I do hear 2 vocalist scream in different of the releases like an example on the 8 songs,Live @ WNYU Radio Show, caligari split, and unreleased track has a much of a deeper scream and a whiny singing voice while in line for halos, The Confluence Of All The Senses, Rise from run split, Songs Of the dead 2 Compilation track, and Saqqara split the scream is much high pitch as a little girl screaming (gnarly scream) I don't know how, what or why but I am guessing they changed vocalist or the vocalists voice changed, don't know. but for those who don't know the spirit of versailles or members. one of the members went on in forming In loving memory (the one with the high pitch scream; totally sounds like a second the spirit of versailles) and other members went on the form examination of the... which both bands did a split together (it is fucking neat). I always thought Screamo was about the gay hair, the stupid hiding the face and bullshit sing talking in beggining of songs. I am very glad this 90's band proved me the hell wrong I will say again.

The Truth About Dreaming

Nolan (Plastic Smile Records) has again started his one man band again. I don't know why he dropped iwontstopwonderinguntilyoustopbreathing since TTAD sounds very similar to IWSWUYSB. I do know he has played a few quite shows under the name. He has released 2 demo's (which are now compiled together known as Demo's tape/CDr which you can order one here, also a 10" Rehearsal CD along with a Live set in tape and CD and a E.P Cd/tape. I havent really checked any of the other stuff but I enjoyed the Demo's but please do support his label and stuff and buy some shit from him. I will upload the Demo's. The Demo tape/cd comes with lyrics (finally) a patch and other cool handmade shit. If you like Jerome's Dream or Nolan's past stuff you will like this.
