The Pine

When I heard their 7" I found it funny how I didn't really like them much, about a good year or 2 I ended up loving them. As a matter of fact I own one of the pine's shirts. I been looking for their LP's only finding Days Slipping By (got the last copy from IndieMerchStore I believe) the store is lame filled with baby music but they had the pine so I bought the LP for $11. I know their are still of the Don't Need Regret LP scattered all over. I as well got the Self Titled CD-R that "That's Punk" made, when I got it I felt like I got ripped off somehow. 6 bucks on a CD-R that was in wrapped in printing paper with no lyrics or even a plastic polyvinyl sleeve so that the cover won't get damaged? Yes I was ripped off by "That's punk" I shouldn't say this but don't buy the 2 releases by that's punk you'll get ripped off, my cover was damaged from the sides and I had to put a plastic sleeve so it can look cooler. Anyway, The pine existed from 1999-2005 making 4 full lengths, 1 7", 2 splits, 2 comp tracks, 7 unreleased songs. There are some of the unreleased songs available in CD-R format, retarditaly its for $20 as if it was on vinyl. But yeah, this band mixes it's genre's between real Emo and Shoegaze. I fucking fell in love with it that I even ended up singing like Roger King, but no one wants to start a band with me that sounds like the pine. Well here are all the releases, by the way. they had a 4 song demo tape but it hasn't been anywhere on the internet sadly.

Kolya

This was one of the early bands I discovered that got me into the whole emotive hardcore, I picked this band up off a blog called hardcore for nerds along with guyver-one, honeywell, and boys life. I love the whole instrumental while the singer talks his lyrics out on the first 2 7". It really sucks this band didn't made so many release through out its years of being active. 2 7"s and a full length released in CD and LP format. About 14 songs I would say. I will say their 2 7" single "the story becomes the vehicle/Conversations and smokescreens" is far my favorite. Well basically all of the 3 releases are my favorite. This is definelty a band to check out. I believe there is still some LP's being sold around and CD's if im not mistaking. This band definelty makes you wanna get in the high mood and hot box a room and just listen to this. I been seeing blogs many of them say Kolya is oldschool emo, in fact they are. I had to upload the iditarod 7" since either other people who uploaded it and were posers and put the track of the 2 song 7" or are fucking naming it by s/t 7" 1998

Moldar

When I heard this bands demo I literally felt some sadness when I heard the first track ever by them "Into the sea", there was a point in my life that I kept hearing it a lot in my high school days that even my mom ended up liking moldar. 2 years releasing a 2008 demo, five songs, calculator/moldar split (which I will as well post calculator here as well), and last five. I only own the calculator split and last five. Black with sap were selling these for like $2 so I couldn't resist owning these. They did a cool ass job on the last five EP with the whole booklet thing and artwork, very fucking rad. I tried looking for five songs EP but had no luck and was too late and sold out. This is one of the other few bands that hugely (if thats even a word) impact me musically. I know they released a unreleased song called decay as well. I'm not into discographie's a whole lot so I put them into their original release. I poseted the demo since I didn't see it anywhere on mediafire.

CholorChromatic

I had to post this band here, I wasn't late for the game when this band came along. I remember the release of Spirals. I bought their last release Tenet for a dollar at Bear Records (which I was shocked that it was a dollar) I had to have it on my hands, so I ended up purchasing it. Best dollar ever spent. I remember one of their last shows at Inglewood, CA as well but couldn't make it to the show that day. I love the mixture of music style they put into their music. But only making a Demo, Spirals, 5 way split, 2 unreleased songs, and Weekend Warrior tape. But I only own one release. You can download Tenet, Spirals and Weekend Warrior tape here

Everyone asked about you

It's been rumored that Everyone asked about you had an unreleased LP. Years later it has been finally released, though I don't think in a physical format but from what I know it was ripped off a tape. So it makes me wonder if its even in physical format, which it puts me in doubt. This is one of the few bands I like with with a female vocalist. Sadly, I don't own any record by these guys. But I also posted this as well since many don't know of the unreleased tracks, there pretty awesome. All the releases they made are pretty down. It's a lovely 90's emo band with so much heart. Apperantly the unreleased tracks were deleted off bandcamp so I uploaded them on mediafire.

Allure

I hardly Know any shit of this band although I do know they released a demo tape and a comp track. I won't stay long on this one to. I am thinking they started in 1994??? And disbanding in 95 or 96??? A 7 song demo tape entitled "Arms can't move... Legs can't bend" with all songs untitled and a song called "Little engine" released in a compilation vinyl entitled "Eucalyptus 2x7". Sadly 8 songs were ever made by this 90's emotive hardcore band. I noticed in a blog there's a picture of the demo tape, sadly it's a fake host, allure's tape isn't entitled "Demo tape" and allure wasn't on any label during that release and on the tape there's a major label print in the front of the tape. Its sad and pathetic to even make it seem like you own this tape, I don't even own the tape myself or some people that grew up while this band was around... I don't know, that's just dumb anyways; I am thinking of making and releasing discography tapes of this band under my label but in the near future. Here's a really amazing forgotten emotive hardcore band that barely managed to releases this. Also, I am making a short film which the song "Little Engine" will be in my films soundtrack along with other cool bands from the past, that will be on a another post.
I posted the demo and the comp track together. Take a peek.

.moneen.

Theory of harmonial value CD

Ohh god, this band was basically my early high school band before I got into the whole emotive harcore skramz shit. It's probably the only Canadian band I only digged, besides Alexisonfire first full length. This band is known to be the kings of "Space emo rock" whatever the fuck those stupid fairies mean. They started in late 1999 (my only favorite releases took place from 1999-2003) They do a lot of epic mathy sound on their guitars. But there is a boarder line to my liking of this band. I only liked their demo, first EP and first 2 full lengths. I believe their original styled died as soon as they did that spilt with Alexisonfire. I used to own a copy of one of my favorite releases by .moneen. and my top favorite album/record/tapes, the CD got cracked and I was fucked. I liked them more when they were in smallman records. Unfortunatly I only own their first full length and their 3rd full length that isn't my favorite but has one song that outstand all the other tracks. I'm not sure if this band broke up or not, the last release they did was in 2009 and havent made any shows, etc whatsoever. The last release was a bummer and didn't make enough funds of how poorly it was. But I am gladly to share their best releases. They actually were the band that influenced me to play a guitar and fucking sing and make a band. If it weren't for this band I wouldn't be on this blog. I also posted a live session set with a beauty quality. :)

Audience Of One

I wanted to post this band because they are not mentioned anywhere on the DIY scene. This band formed in Philly back in 1999 and ended in 2001. They do mixtures of emo and emotive hardcore, Anthony Green was in this band and was his first. I believe they broke up because they all went to college only releasing one full length and 4 unreleased songs right when they broke up. I bought the CD at interpunk for $6. Some kid asked me on youtube if I owned a copy, (If im talking shit to all the freeloading kids on youtube asking the link to download there album of course I fucking have it, and im proud to own it and them broke fucks being cheap). I was so happy when I got it, I remember always listening to this band back in high school in 2008. I really had to buy this classic full length. The 4 track EP wasn't made physically but members gladly posted it on mediafire to listen. There are a bunch of this bands album all over the internet since break even records (a record label based off philly)sells these a lot and won't stop making them since its the best buying CD from there website. Pick up a copy. P.S I find it stupid kids naming the songs from the 4 track EP, their just called by track 1, etc. Don't fucking name something you don't know. And I saw another blog giving them the genre "Indie Pop" WHAT THE FUCK, its a lame ass of course.
