Boy Problems- Discography

Ahh I remember the days of September and October 2009. Around the time Snowing just came out, me barely listening to Merchant Ships and Boy problems and the whole midwestern emo/screamo music. Unfortunatelty those who do know of this band, they lasted a while for 2 releases. But I will tell you one thing, there song "I swallowed a bug" is one of there most memorable songs of this band and of my 2009 year. I hear it and that beggining intro they use of superbad where Jonah hill and Micheal Cera are drunk and are saying stupid cute drunk shit to each other then the song starts with some noodly guitars and peacful harmonics. Fuuckk... Memories. Well I always been a quite good fan of this band, the band went on to form Boys & Sex which didn't quietly make too many songs as well, though they did re-recorded "I swallowed a bug" but I don't think it ever came out to a release of any sort. Well the band didn't lasted half a year to tell you that much having a 5 song summer '08 demo and a 4 way split with Lautrec/Osceola/The Reptilian and themselves they did released another track which is there sixth song "Good grief" (You can tell they recorded this song the same time they recorded the tour demo, the recording quality is so alike the tour demo songs but I am sure they had it planned to specifically release this track on this split) and also "I swallowed a bug" was also on the split. Yeah, thats all I can say of this band. I always loved the clean guitar notes they played, it is a big influence on there part they gave me; so that is why I posted them up here in a memory of this cool ass band.

.Elaine.- Unreleased songs from Gio's garage

Well after 2 years I came across these 3 classic tracks that were suppose to be on a EP. Well one of them were suppose to be on an Self titled EP "Funeral Song". This is 3 shit sounding skramz up the butt tracks. And were the last for this band .Elaine. One which is just a instrumental track and 2 outakes of the song Funeral Song. Sucks how we never got to record a better quality of the track like the 3 songs cd-r. Well here is the last of .Elaine. Oh wait there was an instrumental 4 track EP that never got any light of day along with this stuff. But until I find it then it will see the light of day. These songs were done in my garage around 1 pm-2 pm. No one was home so we jammed one more time which that was literally the last time we ever got to play ever again, due to the drummer being very shitty and lazy (I don't have any contact with him anymore. Oh well. Anyways. Yep. The last shit, besides a 4 track instrumental I cant find. This stuff was recorded around September-October 2010 I believe.. We were going to re-record Drama Weekends, Because there wasn't enough romance along with 3 other new songs including Funeral song, In this division Street (which was only played in our final show and never got recorded, and Color patterns (which also didn't get a chance to be recorded) But my lucky guess is that I am starting a newr band and have about a song down. 3 of the songs Funeral song, In this division street, and color patterns will be on the demo but named differently except funeral song, along with 2 new songs I am working on one called "Estephanie Martinez is a undercover hoe just to let you bros know" and "Backyard fucking was pretty fucking cool, but now its just depressing as your face". Well I hope to get this done very soon, I am stoked to finally get a new drummer we haven't figured the band name yet but sure as hell it will be a fucking badass one. The 2 new songs I am writting I am planning to make them sound very aggressive, angry and sad emo lyrics. Yeahh fuck yeah. I've written the first track, I am using my words for lyrics wisely. I want them to be fucking groovy.
FYI I am making a .Elaine. Discography tape which will include the 2009 demo, 3 songs, unreleased and 4 track EP.

Unreleased shit that didn't ever make it anywhere besides this jam session

Merchant Ships

Merchant ships. Wowsers. This stuff brings a lot of memories from 2009, I remember when all they had was that EP, bummer times demo, and that old grey track. Yeah, that shit was great. And do you remember when they got together again and did the shipsography CD-R's with 2 new songs. Something Paul rever that had the same drum beat as old grey and almost sounded the same from the beggining and that song Dying yeah. Fucking badass times. And remebr when they did For Cameron and how people thought that EP was good, sorry to break it to you but I was a bit dissapointed on that EP it didn't had that Bummer times sound anymore, it was a whole different merchant ships going different direction to my view. It didnt had that simple rythm where you can say "Yet simple and catchy ass fuck" as compared to bummer times where Emo songs has that catchy intro "We're strangers! we're playing twenty questions, we're fucking, falling in love, we're fucking falling apart. soon we're just strangers with history.
i keep looking at the life around me, it's so full of you and it won't seem to leave me alone." Yeahhh, remember those dope lines. Well even though Merchant ships went off to form Park Jefferson and William Bonney, I don't really listen to those 2 bands. But of course we all have different views on the ms music. I shall remember the times when I barely heard them and how obssesed I was with them, I don't consider them skramz, twinkly, nor aggressive (sorry for being a turd) but a fucking dope band that did classisc that here in 10 years the next DIY generation will say "Old grey was a fucking cool ass song and bummer times was fucking epically sick ass shit done in 2008" Yeah I can see that in future blogs, why? because Ms was pretty fucking dope. I barely realized they had a demo called LOL cats like half a year ago. I don't know why ms never brought it up or added to the shipsography collection which they should have. I also added the For Cameron EP since people would get butthurt if I dont. Don't get me wrong, I like ms, but just didn't got into the last release they did before they called it quits.

Riding the diplodoc

Here I am again. Past saturday was way too fucking wild for me, a old friend was throwing a kickback so I go in there and we start drinking, I remember taking 2 shots and drinking 2 beers. I clearly remember being sober, then next thing you know I blackout. I get carried home from what I heard (my other friend driving drunk) I was brought home 3 am. I wake up at 8am shocked scared and thinking what the fuck happened and with bruises all over my body. I have never blacked out and have dranked a bottle of vodka without passing out only throwing my brains out. I find it wierd that I blackedout. I believe someone put something on my drink but not entirely sure. Well Riding the diplodoc is a cool german instrumental twinkly math rock band. Band surpasses fucking awesome. I do have bad memories of this band, especially there EP Crystal Fuxx since I heard it around the time I was going through bullshit, the EP has a shoegaze style. As if The Pine went on instrumental. Its a 4 track epic EP. While there other Ep Dilettantes like lions has more of a mathy sound to it. Though I like the new sound, very original for a instrumental band to do. Anyways. I also uploaded a demo track onto the Crystal Fuxx EP. I don't think I am ever drinking again, I am traumatized but this band is fucking cool that I will listen to over and over. I do believe Crystal fuxx is far my favorite EP for 2012 and a good start in summer. If you like cool original shit. I reccomend this stuff. If not at least download the Crystal fuxx EP. Its free. By the way; I still fucking hate faries.
