During Summer 2012 I ended up listening to this band. Most likely because I was on youtube searching for instrumental math rock bands. I ended up on a video entitled my top 5 math rock bands and this band ended up being there. I liked it so I checked this LP and fuck its like going to 7/11 on shrooms (well to me) its one of those really wierd math rock bands not like Loose lips sink ships or The fall of troy but its a whole different segment of math rock. I was tripping out just listening to this entire 10 song LP I mean even the front cover is like "WTF" I mean its pretty fucking cool but it still confuses me. I was actually on party pills while listening to this while trying to play fallout 3 and New Vegas and I must say it was very very woah. But I must give this band (which has the guitarist member of Tera Melos) credit for just not being your typical everyday math rock band. Therefore you are now entitled to "stilllifewithcandle" meaning "It fucking rocks and you seamen heads must check this"

HA Yeah it is one of those "Where do I find this band?" nowhere unless you were around myspace at the time this band was active. The band left a bunch of shitty stained demos and splits. Actually the band didn't left much to be exact. It is a midwestern sound mixed with Screamo although from Pennsylvania. Kinda alike bands such as Merchant Ships and stuff like that. The band didn't lived up much to be heard a lot everywhere. Maybe some of you did but that doesn't mean it was all over the place like when Count your lucky stars released Merchant Ships For Cameron EP (Which I didn't liked one bit). I sometimes even think I am missing some songs but some guy on tumblr posted a discography of this band and I reuploaded it on mediafire so that theres 2 files of these floating around in case ones gets deleted.

I hardly know any info on this band pretty much

Nadsat Rebel

This was a hardcore punk band from the early 80's. You know whats shit? This is all they made.. Yeah. 5 fucking songs is what they left. They came in 3 compilations although its the same songs from the demo. I actually dig the echo vocals of this band. It sorta reminds me of Plunger's Demo tape in the early 90's but in a more raw way. Well there isn't anything else to be said by this band. Although I will state this demo was recorded in December 1983. So I am guessing this came out in early Spring of 1984 perhaps. It is obvious these tapes dont exist I mean look at the picture from the video. There pretty half assed and no creativity unlike many of todays non label bands who attempt to pimp there material out with color and stuff. But this is hardcore punk from the 80's its not like anyone gave a shit at that time. Even the tape seems so bootleg. Its like we all can make these for ourselves instead of buying them. But like I said. Hardcore punk at the time gave a million fucks on how the tape looked. They did printed out those lyrics thats for sure. The demo runs about 9 to 10 minutes like in the video. So I am hoping you dig this because this shit is nowhere to be found on mediafire. Both files on mediafire were deleted and no one has had the ball to re upload it. I found these songs on a blog but was wierd because you had to right click the track and click save audio as. I kinda felt stupid so I rather just upload them rather than link you to the blog. I don't know if the blog did it purposely because I was lost figuring out. "Okay, how the fuck do I get this because I really don't want to use youtube and rip the whole shit as a side A without the songs being seperated." Until I figured how. Well enjoy bro's and broads.

The Kossabone Red

Lately I have been listening to this on the buss to school and on my way back to school. A very similar Cap'N Jazz attitude although somewhat different on the guitar chords being used but an "almost" identical vocal structure as Kinsella. Well the band did 2 7"s one entitled "Failure and departue" which has the first 2 songs this band made. then a 2 song vinyl single. Iginition/Atrophy which sounds different from the rest of there stuff and lastly a self titled 12" of 12 songs which is fucking brilliant. I do know the band made other songs that were enver recorded. It features a member from Portrait obvious on the singing. Id say this band is a between Bells on trike and cap'n jazz. It's too bad this band only did 3 releases. They also did a live set for a radio station but the live set is like an hour long and I am way to lazy to upload that but I do know where to be downloaded at. Its a nice liveset it has a few cover songs and songs that were never released along with a few songs that were released. I mean even the first time I heard the first song by this band "Failure and departure" I got kinda teary I don't know why but the song sounds pretty sad and I heard something about crying. Well I was looking for 90's emo bands and I found this on youtube and I loved what I heard. All you 90's emo nerds get into this.

The Pennikurvers

Since I posted Crash and Britany and Everyone Asked About You I asked myself (>.>) well I should also post The Pennikurvers. Like the other 2 bands I just mentioned. The Pennikurvers are exactly alike them only a more low fi-ish. The Pennikurvers released a self titled 3 song side A and side B 7" (Most likely it was handmade) in 1995. It featured Bobby Sell from Honeywell as the drummer of this short lived project. I good amount of 90's emo blogs usually post this band while a few others forget or don't know them. Well in Spring 2011 there was a time I was obssesed with 90's emo chick bands so I looked everywhere for bands like these and I came across this one last.fm sadly when I found out they only did 3 songs I had a tear coming from my heart. Because this band was pretty fucking cool, the female vocalist has a very soft singing voice which sounds alike Crash and Britany's band. Actually to think of it. This band has a sound combination between C.A.B and E.A.A.Y. So if your into that whole 90's front girl emo stuff. Dig into this.

The Union Ares

Wel I am back up again with another post. Well after the disbanding of Kolya. The union ares formed and did a 2 song demo entitled for friends afterwards they even played a live set at the fallout shelter where they recorded 2 other new songs not featured on the demo. The live recording is splended and really good. It almost sounds as if it isnt a live set. Afterwards the band disappeared leaving these 4 songs. It sucks they couldve made more but no one knows the reason why this band got dropped. It isn't as similar as Kolya but is something more new and different in a good way.

The Vidablue/Ten Grand

Well now with more time on my hands. I have finally posted almost everything on this band or 2 bands although they changed there name while the making of The Comprehensive List of Everyone Who Has Ever Done Anything Wrong to Us. From there on they Changed to Ten Grand. Ten Grand well under that name they did a full length entitled "This is the way to rule" and 2 split's one with Mike Lust and the other with Meth and goats. From there the band didn't split up but the vocalist Matt Davis died in a car crash I believe. It be pretty stupid to replace him so the band just ended afterwards. The vocalsit used a pretty unique style of singing I have not heard elsewhere which is one of the main reasons I dig this badly. Although between the switch name from The Vidablue and Ten Grand the band did not change style at all and would still sound pretty similar to how they began. The only stuff I am missing and is completely nowhere is The Vidablue split w/ Quatro and there demo EP which has a few early versions of The comprehensive list. Other than that. This is all that is out there in one file. Although I really enjoyed The comprehensive list a lot more than the rest of there material. I still like everything they did. So I put a few videos of my favorite 2 songs from this album. This is a really classic among many emotive hardcore/DIY fans. This band is still mentioned in many blogs but formely as Ten Grand. I didin't know they were first called The Vidablue til someone said so and here I thought they released 2 full lengths and 2 splits when they actually released 4 splits,3 full lengths, and one 7". The payload theme song will always remind me of the first time I heard them while Thank you ma'am, may I have several more reminds me of how great they are.

Allegory of the cave/Cheer Up

Well I remember listening to this band I believe when I got gragged to last.fm I remember downloading that 7 track demo and the split with spectres. From there I totally forgot of them til I randomly one day checked The emo apocalypse compilation and saw one of there songs on there "I am not zee hero" I tried getting info until I ended up with Cheer Up!. I don't know why they ended up changing the bands name although from Allegory to Cheer Up! you can hear the big gap difference between the 2 although the same 2 piece band. No bass required. Although in Cheer Up! you can hear 2 guitars playing some mathy like The fall of troy but better style with some of the same vocal structure only a little more singing involved to it. I still don't know why they titled it "10 song EP" it is far from even being an extended play. Most extended plays the longest are 7 songs. Usually from 8 or more it's as a full length. Found that wierd. Although this release was also in CDr format and under 50 copies of those were made. Lucky for the ones who ever went to go see Cassettes on fire and cheer up play. I am sure that show was fucking amazing. Well I noticed many files only have the stuff allegory made. So I made one where I have Allegory and Cheer Up!. Sorry if the track names have no titles. When I downloaded them from mediafire they were already like that. But if anyone would like to give me the track names. I hate shit like Track 01 When I already know theres a name for these songs. Well here ya go. Sorry I couldn't find a video for you newcomers. But all I can say. Dig Skramz? Get into this.

Capsule

Anyone remember Capsule fans bitching that Capsule's summer 2011 3rd full length "No ghost" was album of the year? I remember because I was one of those people but I also believed Beau Navire "Hours was also to be entitled "abum of the year" Well Capsule blends to progressiv sounds of hardcore, screamo, punk in a experimental fashion in some for of math rock. Its wierd but god there tunes are fucking brain smashing even when I heard them for the first time it felt as if my eyes popped out my eyesack and was drugged up to the sounds capsule ws creating. Well its been a year since that relase and I haven't heard much from these guys since. Maybe thats just me. Well in the way to honor them I will present them here on my blogspot. For a band from Florida this shit is good which reminds me of such other bands that was also from Florida Monarcs. IS MONARCS THE SAME MEMBERS OF CAPSULE?! Because they definetly both sound very alike.

.Elaine.- A Discography of a High School Memory

Well I finally found every single thing related to the big deuce .Elaine. To me .Elaine. will be a huge part that played in my life although I won't lie I have been in better bands in .Elaine. but this band it is definetly what emo is in Long Beach, California. The songs define the sound of this city we lived in and defined the sound of our shit in high school. We got drunk, high, and played together though we were varied of different musicians on each fucking shitty stuff that were never releasded I finally put it all in one file. 16 songs of a heartbreaking high school memory that it is now turning to a sepia color flashback in my brain whenever I listen to this. I finally made shitty discography CDr's I am selling for 3 bucks. I am only making 30 of these. I think these songs should be free and physical copies. Although the other people I played with don't know of this actual release though I am sure a smile will come out there face just remembering these times we played. I remember our first show at a big house at the edge of Long Beach. We ended up playing the entire 2009 demo, except for the song "Actual Moments" which I am still embaressed about and I never played that song like EVER again. Another show was in the east side in Long Beach on Thanksgiving we did played those same 3 songs along with the other 3 songs from 3 songs, yeah?. I enjoyed playing the stuff from 3 songs more. I felt like we were less booed by the crowd of Ska and Punk teenage kids. I guess they couldnt tell if this was a indie punk, screamo or emo band. To be honest, I don't know neither. We never agreed to what to play. I guess I mixed a bunch of genres and turned it into a big pile of sad dump. But kids didnt know these songs were some depressing shit. They either would shake there head to some of the songs or just had a blank stare towards us thinking "Okay, what the fuck am I listening... Should I walk away? Boo at them? or just stay at the show and buy that 3 songs cd copy? I feel very akward now." I even felt akward playing a show with the wrong crowd that often disrespect this kind of shit but because we mixed it I guess we were an exception to them. We usually played in my backyard and stuff whenever we practiced. Or got high and drunk there. We know our songs were very horrihow often do you come up to a song where the whole world can agree that its a good song, hmm? None. The discography is a set of 16 songs. So not only was it that 2009 4 song fall demo or 3 songs but along with 9 other songs we never fully released. The CDr contains the Bio of the band inside the insert, a half assed booklet on the releases of the shit that was nenver fully released and info of the material. I have made about 5 so far. Will make more if anyone buys. If not it doesn't matter the songs are here for free download.
