Update: Files being deleted/expired

Well I noticed many of the files have been "expired" or deleted. I will instead upload these filed again straighly into my blogspot instead of using a file share site because I realized they all suck and arent reliable. I want these files to stay forever on the internet. I perfer Nirvana to be lost songs instead of Bob tilton or even my Karate file. So dont think I wont re-upload those because I will. That's the post I wanted to drop off today since I am still at Belmont shore and I won't leave til Sunday after I get home I need to start registering for my college classes and get all the financial aid settled afterwards I need to get a job and also I will post my project's debut album up on here as well. Peace.

Minus the bear

Well I am off to Belmont Shore again so I won't be back home til next week meaning I won't do any post til either next Monday or the next next Monday. Either one. Got my clothes, vodka, shot glasses, and food packed hell I am even taking my ps3 since I recently bought a hdmi cable. I also invited a few close friends along with my cousins to smoke some weed, take shots, play fallout 3 and watch Asian girl movies. So before getting into this post, back in 2009 I showed my friend The reptilian and he liked it a lot and told me to look into Minus the bear. I was a douche with music in high school so I didn't but before that back in 2007 I had Charter cable and I saw a music video of Minus the bear which was the song "Knights" the song was from the bands third length album "Planet of Ice" (Which it is an okay album but not as great as the first 4 releases) The song was good but eventually I got over the song. In early Spring of this year I went up and searched them (after discovering Sharks keep moving first) I went back in time and heard the bands first EP "This is what I know about being a gigantic" and I liked it a lot I could compare early Minus with Colossal (which is why I ended up liking Minus a lot) so I ended up buying Minus the bear's EP and first full length "Highly refined pirates" and man are they awesome. I was a bit skeptical on the bands second EP "They make beer commercials like this" after knowing there was a repress with a compilation added to the EP I ended up liking that EP which went to the later different sound of "Menos el oso" the bands second length. After hearing this length I'll submit that I like this length as well but not as great as Highly refined pirates that's for sure. I actually see the bands early stuff more as a "kicking it, relax, have a few beers with friends" music. I been playing on getting They make beer commercials like this EP and Menos el oso soon (Once I get all of Karate's albums, Cursive's Such blinding stars for starving eyes, The early storm, and Domestica and also Sharks keep moving Self titled and Pause and clause EP since I am missing those 2) Minus the bear is indeed math rock (early stuff) you can hear the Math rock fading at They make beer commercials like us EP and you can completely hear it fade out in the Planet of ice album (which is okay but not a favorite of mine) as for mtb's new stuff I couldn't get into it. Sharks keep moving and Minus the bear do in fact have a different style. Skm is much more slower and jazz like while mtb is much more hyped a bit more fast paced with quick tap notes. If anything I'll be posting there early stuff. And also I'll be adding the song "Drop it like its hot" (Originally from Bands like it when you yell "yar" at them EP) which is a early sampler preview of 3 of Highly refined pirate's songs which was a few months later released leaving only Drop it like its hot as an original to that EP. Saying that I don't know why Highly refined pirates CD version contains 2 songs that are "radio edit" I mean they still sound the same and are no different (perhaps they took out some of the curse words out) other than that I saw it pointless to add those 2 songs and should've instead added "Drop it like its hot" into the album.

Off This is what I know about being gigantic EP

Off Highly refined pirates

Adventurers

Im super stooked for this week I am hoping to finish the songs on my solo project by tomorrow and/or friday. I am excited and amped on Sunday so I am planning to get a bottle of Gold (Jose cuervo) and stay down Belmont shores mobile home estates again for most of November. I am also planning on taking my ps3 and stuff. Anyways, I got a request on 2 bands but today I'll post this one. Well I dont know much on these guys but sorta remind me of a Merchant Ships/Midwest pen pals sorta stuff. So if you know what I am talking about youll love this. Dont get confused with the band Adventures, both bands are totally different. This band apperantly is new to the game so look into them. I quiet dig these guys. Since I have no Ipod for the meanwhile (It broke today) I saved it on my ipod playlist so I can add it once I get my new one.

The Brave Little Abacus- Discography

So recently some broad gave me her number while I was walking the dogs (The small gig job I got for extra cash down Belmont Shore Mobile home Estates) My guess is she stays down the dorms of the University that's right next to this place. So we then talk and randomly last night she texts me telling me she banged a dude at the dorm and she doesn't think he had a condom on so she took a morning after pill or some shit. This is where I get pissed off not because some guy banged her or because she is telling me some shit I don't really care about (Since I am an asshole to people that are stupid) But what got me mad was the fact that she gave me her number, I didn't tell this broad "Can I get your number so you can then describe your first time to me afterwards?" in the end it all resulted with a "What a nerdy slut" but then again her problem isn't my problem so I kindly texted her "Ohh I see, damn" I guess she probably got the hint of me actually saying "So you gave me your number so you can tell me this, oh boy ain't that a waste of my fucking time and battery" But then some people don't quiet get it so they'll think I am fine, you see I am fine I just find it extremely awkward now. Not just that but I also found out the house I am house/pet sitting has 2 sets of human ashes from the past husbands the lady has had (talk about bad luck) and Coyotes apparently come out at night and walk around the whole mobile home estate (These are wild coyotes with rabies and full on hunger) which also explains why all dogs randomly bark at night since they hear them howl. I believe I saw a sign that says not to walk your dogs late at night and to have your cats indoors. So that was my weekend at the small gig as a house/pet sitter. So about a week ago I randomly discovered this band on last.fm while trying to search for a similar band like early Minus the bear or Sharks keep moving and I ended up with a band totally different from those 2 bands. Instead I came across The brave Little Abacus, this underrated band is far superior and anything I have heard in my life. Just to explain what they sound like to me "Cap'N Jazz/Algernon Cadwallader meets Them, roaringtwenties" it resulted to that. So the band broke up last year, bummer I know. But left a Demo, 2 full lengths, one split and a last 7". But for the past week I have been listening to this band fully non stop. I got so into these songs, seriously. So if you sorta like Cap'N Jazz, Algernon Cadwallader or Them, roaringtwenties you should also give this a listen. There last live set was recorded so I'll add that on here too. So during my stay as a house/pet sitter I was getting stoned in the living room listening to this band and I realized I really like this a lot, at first I thought it was the stoned out talk but once I came to myself I mixed beer with Whiskey and Vodka and even some Champagne and heard this again and I said to myself this is some good shit but then my drunk ass got in the mood of watching netflix. By the time it was 3 AM I fell asleep with Bob (Kitten) and realized I like this band a whole lot.

Mustaphamond

This one is for the kids who posted a comment regardless of this bands demo. Short story, I came across this band on youtube somehow and I liked them. I left the person who posted this video about any releases of this band, they only semmed to have this demo. So this band has totally changed sound from a hardcore/skramizsh band to more of a experimental/math rock influence band. So yeah, this demo is pretty gnarly. The band has played for quiet a while I even messaged the band and they don't seem to have any music on there material. It is a real bummer for this band because they aren't well known at all because there is no releases out there on the internet (not that I know of) but anyway check this demo out. Its pretty amazing.

Raintree

So recently I been waiting on my mail and shit and High Vibe Recordings (The ones who released Lobby Boxer's Teddy EP recently sent me that EP. The EP was suppose to come in like a week or 2 ago. Since they lagged it I got this random tape along with Teddy EP and so I heard it and it turns out I like this band too. I have nothing on this band besides them having 2 releases so far. The EP tape I have entitled "When men were made of iron" which introduces 5 nice slow soft content tracks which are good to my ears. In summer 2012 the band put out a 3 song summer tour demo for that year which the songs are still quite alike the EP. I hope the band hasn't disappeared so therefore I will make a post on these guys. Ill soon post some photos on some of the shit I bought and you can also follow me on instagram Skramz4life is my user name.

Heres a promo video on the EP
