The Cabs

So while searching for Tricot and posting the new song on my facebook Dan Vo (Guitarist from Leer) ended up showing me this Japanese Math rock/Posty/Screamoish band in which he told me he got his guitar skittles influence from. Pretty neat I must say. I am not too too familiar with the band since I just discovered them last night but they have released 2 EP's and a Full length in early of this year. He also mentioned about some compilation songs but that would be very impossible for me to find unless someone gathered all the songs into one zip or rar file. So the band is genius the guitars are wild the vocals are good and I like this band. I heard that they broke up and the guitarist is literally missing which is pretty sad and a bummer how someone goes missing but like I said I haven't gotten too much details or went in deep with the band. Maybe I should of before posting them on here but I don't have much time. Yeah they did a few music videos I haven't heard the second EP neither have I heard the full length yet since I knocked out listening to the EP which is really great. I am glad Dan should me this band. I mentioned to him to show me any others similar to this one and Tricot he did say majority of both bands labels have bands that sound exactly like these 2. I guess I can't possibly say much only that I am excited that I found these bands to listen too while I exercise or even sit down and listen to.

Tricot

Last night I was on my ass doing nothing. But since I am getting a job which also means less time posting good stuff on here or post stuff til later in the night I sure might as well do 3 posts today. Another of those Japanese bands. Yes, this time Tricot is a Math rock/Indie band that consists of 3 females which are Bass, Guitars and Vocals and a male Drummer who kicks ass. They all kick ass. While youtubing randomness I came across this band last night I actually heard one of the newest songs that will be going on the bands first full length entitled "T H E" in October that also means that album may be on the top list too. So the band has odd time signatures and jazzy notes at times with well put breakdowns between songs which sorta reminds me of how early Minus the bear with with some Lautrec guitars would sound like. So I scoped around the internet and I was able to find both of the EP's and about 3 single out of the 5. I wasn't able to find the first 2 singles they made. Might be impossible but if I do of course I will post it up here. So the band is good and it isn't poppy as Silent Siren. Just make sure to download these tunes because I gathered them for you guys to easily get since I am the one busting my ass off finding these hard tunes. I had to translate Japanese words with English words just to find some mediafire crap link for this stuff it took about 2 hours to find all these non stop searching. The first video is from the bands new coming album. The other videos are from both EP's listen to them and see if you dig math rock Japanese skills from Asian girls.... AsiangirlsAsiangirlsAsiangirlsAsiangirlsAsiangirlsAsiangirls :3 I love them.

The Pine's Demo tape and Eight songs tape

WHile random searching to see if and only if anyone has uploaded The Pine's legendary demo tape I realized there were in a few accounts but the problem was that it wasn't in a fucking file. Angry about this I came across a dropbox file holding not just the demo tape but the Eight songs tape that features early versions of Doing the best he can, Days slipping by, Growing calm together, Desperate and lonely, Rainclouds, Down below, Don't love me, and Junkyard. While the first 3 I named were in the LP Days slipping by, Desperate and lonely was put on a compilation LP, Rainclouds and Down below were in The saddest landscape split and Junkyard was put in a split with La Quieta. Anyways I wanted to make a small post about this since I don't look back into old bands anymore. I will continue with the big posts of the day.

Silent Siren

So today we will look into a pretty big band from... Japan. Yes I said it. Japan again. A all girl band... Yeah, right now your thinking "Why the fuck?" well let me be blunt. I adore Silent Siren deep inside. And if you don't know who they are let me explain. Silent Siren is a jpop/indie rock band that consists of 2 or 3 Japanese models while one or 2 of them are friends of the models. They even wear there clothing trademark that they model for which is much better than the shit in the U.S now that being said this band is fucking catchy (Sadly I don't understand what they are saying) but did make a bunch of shitload of releases. The band started in late 2011 and since then they have released 2 EP's, 3 Singles and a full length (which will go on my top 2013 list)... Before I go one I will say this, I am a guy who likes giving music its chance even when I doubt the music I will look back and inspect it whether why I don't like it or why I should change my mind and like it, this has happened to many bands of the past such as Minus the bear, Colossal, The Pine and even Circa survive's early stuff. When I gave this band a chance I automatically loved the tunes. If you can't stand music like this and you are a ignorant piece of shit who sticks with the same flow of music then this band may not be for you, but for those who experiment with there taste of music maybe give this a shot. Who knows you may like it like I did. It took a while to get the singles from this band that didn't make it in the full length. They did music vids for the singles though. I really like the song Filter and even Crazy lady and the one that did the top hit Stella. So I did a zippyshare file of each release. I added Crazy lady and Filter together since they were in different singles. In August which was last month the band released 2 songs as a single. I just heard them and there pretty dope. The band hasn't change much sound like most bands do. Well here are some music vids from the songs. And if you dig it download it. I know many of the DIY hardcore twinkly whatever blogspots would not post this on there blogspot but fuck that shit if Chug life was able to post Third eye blind I should to post a great band that is foreign to our ears. Enjoy.

Battle royale

I shouldve had mentioned this band before when they released there 4 way split LP. Good movie too by the way. I digged it more than that shitty hunger games crap. Anyways, its sad to see bands like these last shortly after a shitty live demo, 1 split, and 2 EP's the band disbanded in May of 2013. There last show took place on the 12th. The last 4 songs they did, were far out good and showed good potential for the bands later future releases. But my guess is were never going to see that. Anyway there a cool hardcore screamo kind of band. Damn I really wish they could have made more. There 4 song EP is going on my top 2013 list. Seriously. For a 4 track EP. Its that good. So check it at there bandcamp.

Native- Orthodox

Another album I was waiting on this year. I saw these guys play at Echoplex with a friend in February of this year. I ended up buying We delete; erase EP, Wrestling Moves and donating them money and because we both my friend and I got a free poster. I got to meet Bobby Marcos and Daniel Evans. There liveset was really fucking good, the band played clean and played new songs from Orthodox. The liveset was actually recorded as well. A band called Junius and Caspian played as well which were good too but Native played first. I wished I brought a backpack since I was holding on to the merch throughout the whole show since it started at 9 pm and didnt end til about 12:30ish am close to 1. Nonetheless it was a good set they did. And now Orthodox was released on August 20 or 24 I dont remember the exact date but in between there. Bobby's vocals sorta change so did the band, sounding more mature than We delete and Wrestling moves. Too be honest I kinda didn't like the change but don't get me wrong it's still a really good album. I was hoping for at least a 10 song length with no short instrumentals like they had in Wrestling moves but instead it Orthodox is 8 songs. The songs are still driven in the same Native form but just more matured and toned down. Books on tape is one of my favorites from the album which was the first song to be previewed for Orthodox. I still hope Native does there thing still since the band was going through the bad stages in one being stressed out on making this release which took them 3 years to release it since Wrestling moves was released in 2010. It is a good album though I actually am waiting to see if amazon will have it for a cheaper price on CD if not then I'll buy the vinyl version of the album.

Ask for answers

Since early fall of last year Ask for answers been sorta around as a project 90's influence Orchid a la-Raein sorta type. We tried making some songs but we all sorta lagged it except Filip who is the vocalist who was pretty much the only dude on top of this. Although not much of my guitar parts are heard on here. I do hope on the next release Ill be ahead of the game. We all have different influence but in the end it is related to DIY, Skramz and musicianship. If your those diy skramz hardcore nerds that like bands from today that sound like the older generation of emo bands AFA may by your medicine. Anyways check the demo out.
