Saosin

Small quick post, I wanted to post this little discography I made for myself, all the stuff Anthony Green did before Saosin got all gay and what not. I hate the new Saosin, I believe Saosin shouldve died when Anthony Green left, Anthony Green was Saosin and could not be replaced; Unfortunately Cove joined and did all the lame stuff and made Saosin lame. Well it's a small post so here is the discography. Fuck you Cove and the new Saosin.. The new Saosin went on to be DIY supposely they are still going to suck sooo hah! So new Saosin fans that knows the now Saosin you can suck it.

Circa survive

It's been a while since a post here, I had shit going on with school and my band so I haven't had so much time posting crap here.... One of my few favorite mainstream artist I like, unique vocals like the pine. High pitched. Yes Anthony Green frontman of this band. But I must say I dig that experimentation he does in this band. I do have a 2009 demo of them with a few unreleased songs that didn't make it on the lattest LP they made "Blue Sky Noise" Whick I don't know why the seven songs couldve made the LP sound way more legit(Blue sky noise Which is my least favorite album by these dudes). They kicked ass on there first 2 demos and first 2 full lengths. There newest material "Appendage EP" kinda made up for there "Blue Sky Noise", the album itself to poppy it didn't seem like the real Circa Survive playing. It's funny that many bands don't really have attractive dudes, I must say Anthony Green is one of the few that are attractive.... Anyway, I really digged this band ever since a old high school buddy of mine let me borrow Juturna back in 9th grade, since then there a drug thats my little secret til now of course since I am telling you. I would consider them a "emo" band but with a mixture of today's new generation, lyrics are beautiful with none of that cliche shit involved; Anthony Green is very talented for his vocal singing and lyric writting. I dig the passion in his lyrics, I'ts like when you listen to (For an example: Saetia, you hear Billy Werner screaming in "One Dying Wish" you can here he fucking means it when he is screaming to that, Anthony Green he does it with singing, really gets to you) I been a fan of high pitch singing ever since I heard New Edition when I was 6 years old. But yeah, If you know them but haven't heard them check it it is very reccomended even for me to post it on my blog. If you don't know them and you are stuck into the whole DIY music I still reccomend you to come out the shadow and take a bite of this band, at least download "This changes everything demo" and "The Inuit Sessions EP". I would say this band has its mixtures of experimental/indie/twinkly emo. That's just how I hear it and define it. By the way I didn't post there Blue Sky noise LP since I didn't really dig it but you never know you if you do end up liking it. I also had to upload the this changes everything demo, 2009 demo, and b-sides.

I' even putting this on my blog, i'ts a unreleased song from the 2009 demo. I had a heart attack when I heard him sing. Just listening it makes you fall in love with him. You can now know what I mean by the emotions.

Gio's list

Soo for those who aren't familiar with DIY (Do It Yourself). Are labels that do handmade shit whether they are CD-R's, tapes, and vinyls. I noticed lately many of the crappy mainstream labels such as Victory Records, Dine, Vagrant, Epitaph, ect are doing limited vinyl's of the bands cd's they did for hot topic, best buy, and such mainstream media corporations like those. Maybe they heard a little of DIY and how cool it was these labels have been copying what these awesome cool labels have been doing in limited press. I mean if they liked what they did and digged that whole stuff, that's awesome; still doesn't change the fact they are sell out labels, and aren't DIY. So I am here being a douche again I will give a list of shitty labels that are corporate sell outs. No offense, but I really dislike these labels for 2 main reasons, 1. if you notice the bands on these labels try so hard and try to make a "Perfect" album and are focusing too much on that rather on what they feel like coming out of it as a whole band and playing what they feel like it and not to impress a crowd filled with fairies with hardcore band shirts from hot topic. You can tell by the early releases they made sounded so much better when they were signed in a independent label you can tell the difference and to when they signed to a major label. Example. Alexisonfire, this Canadian "Screamo" band did a demo in cd-r called Math Sheets Demo. They then released a S/T under a Independent label at the time and went lame "Equal Vision Records". Supposely its been said that they dedicated this album to Level Plane Records another independet label that had Saetia, pg.99, Shikari (NOT the lame band Enter Shikari), Hot Cross, etc. When the band released there second length "Watch Out !" right when Equal Vision Records had mainstream success the bands sound totally changed. It was a "Success Hit" in Canada giving it a Platinum. Same thing with another great band Moneen, who did there first two releases under the Canadian independent label Smallman Records, as soon as they wen to Vagrant they did Are We Really Happy With Who We Are Right Now? in which Smallman records were also helping out the album, I believe this album was very successful in still sounding themselves not because Vagrant, but because Smallman was still there. As soon as Vagrant took all over moneen while making The Red Tree the band even tried making a "Perfect" single when they went on Vagrant, even the band was really stressed because of this. Why the fuck would Vagrant force moneen to play a certain mainstream style? Why? I thought these labels were all about the bands making there own music on there own terms? What happened there. You can even watch moneen's documentary It All Started With A Red Stripe. The engineer told Kenny from moneen "Are we really happy was almost perfect" and that the lead guy from Vagrant wants something perect from them... Bitch say fucking what? That is sooo poorly to do judge a fucking great album that had somewhat mainstream success and underground success as well. Moneen went on signing into a even bigger label Dine Alone. But because the band did a shitty and there last album, they disbanded because they didn't met the fund of being this so called "Mainstream Success". Anyways here is a list of shitty labels I belive that messed up many bands.

-Dine Alone
-Equal Vision
-Victory
-Epitaph
-Atlantic
-Hopeless
-Reprise
-Sumerian
-Indianola
-Rise
-Velocity
-Fearless
-Sire
-Decaydance
-Eyeball

There's probably more of this shitty labels. Some of these consider themselves "Independent" labels, and some of these are mainstream Sell Outs. I just personally think these labels are such shit to me. But remember it is ONLY MY OPINION you don't have to agree with me in any from. Most of the bands on these labels are. The used, Dashboard confessions, Alesana, Askingalexandria, My chemical romance, etc. Basically bands that would never ever ever be on this blog for the only exceptions of Moneen's early releases and Thursday's first 3 lengths. Ok now here is a list of shitty as bands that consider themselves "Emo" and "Screamo" fucking mainstream sellouts.

-Askingalexandria
-A day to remember
-Alesana
-My Chemical Romance
-The Used
-Chiodos
-From first to last
-D.R.U.G.S
-Woe, is me
-Escape the fate

God knows how many of these poser ass bands are there in the world giving emo and screamo a bad name that punks hate. In reality emo and punk are very related. As a matter of fact its where it came from, not from a dumbass big forehead guy that became a band called the used and named it Screamo, no. Kids need to realize that isn't near the reality of emo or screamo bands. Its a massive confusion that even Toru okada said at the end of there song Lights Out of this massive confusion that is going around, Palatka saying "What The Fuck is emocore, its the stupidest thing i've ever heard.' in reality those who say emocore or believe this genre such exist you look stupid when you say it and have a retarded face. Such genre doesnt exist. it's all emotive hardcore. Bands that are the real thing DIY Emotive Hardcore. That is the real thing of emo and screamo, not many know of it and not many punks know of it, but if punks and poser "emos" sat down and heard the real emo and real screamo punks would apologize to the real them and still beat the crap out of the poser twice as hard for being in fact a huge douche, more than a douche than me posting this while some of you get butthurt. The truth hurts, but thats life some of you kids were blinded or brainwashed to all this MTV FUSE tv crap music and kroq however you spell the repetitive music radio station that plays the same boring shit. I was never a big fan of the boring sex pistols, or Nirvana. I wasn't a big fan of Alesana or Askingalexandria. Wasn't a fan of The Beatles or even Led Zepplin. When it comes to music I wouldn't lie to myself and force my ears to listen to crap that bores me just to impress a "Popular" crowd. At the same time I am glad I was the only one of my high school times and even college as of today that that listened to something so different from everyone else that even the people who didn't like that noisy loud shit I love were very interested in it and were interested in this DIY I always rambled of in lunch time and in class. No, it didn't make me an outcast because of it. Because in my High School you'd either be a lameass shuffler jerker whatever these justin beaver kids make up these days with the colorful yellow skinny jeans sagging or bright yellow skinny jeans sagging, or you can be a punk thrasher listening to the same boring shit going to these half ass set shows with poorly bands that are to lazy to record anything or aren't serious on the musician ship of a whole band, or you can be the poser everyone hates a fairy that likes the bands I just listed and beleive that is all real, I may not know if you are real or not I cannot judge you because of what you listen to or because of how cliche you are. I am no one neither who is better. I am not proving that all that I am trying to say is that these kids very likely belive they are "them". So here is a list of great labels you should check, or you can just miss out on the best real emo and real screamo DIY bands and still be that failing poser everyone hates. Or just take my word. It ia really your choice. I just like shring this type of music and being a douche to those sell out bands and kids that like that Warped Tour crap.

DEERS !

I really love/hate is when bands make short few releases of there material. DEERS! from Sacramento I believe made a Demo tape, along with a matsuri split CD, a 5 way split LP w/ Animal Lover, MNWA, Colorchromatic, and Pansori. And a split live tape with Ordstro. I only own the matsuri split cd. I ordered moldar/calculator split and moldar last five from the. And since they did took a while to send them to me I got a free copy of the Amry of Kashykk/Lovers and killers split EP, and that DEERS!/Matsuri split. I was pretty fucking amazed how they made this split. They basically used a paperbag, sprayed painted it, and wrote the track info in pen. Only 86 of these were made. It was adorable, I remember showing it to my girl when she came over to my house she thought it was "cute" and "cool". Sadly, both bands are not active. But anyways, DEERS! is pretty fucking sexy for a band. When they broke up they released a discography tape of the 9 songs they made (3 songs from the Matsuri split were from the 2008 demo tape), so basically it's the 6 songs from the demo tape, and the other 3 from the 4 way split LP. I am also posting the live split. I believe there were songs that didn't make it to any releases since I heard a good 1 or 2 new ones on this live split. I remember when they were barely making that 4 way split. It's shocking they broke up to soon, I really wished they made a few good more releases. These dudes are up the sexy skramz, and would be nice to have them on my blog since there music is pretty fucking gnarly. I am only posting these releases since the matsuri split has 3 songs from the demo and the tour 09 has the 3 songs from the way split so I thought it's a bit pointless to post them but very important to mention them.

Remember they did a

*Tour '09 (3 songs from the 5 way split are here)

Guyver-One

Guyver-One is a mid 90's Emotive hardcore "Emo Violence" band from the San Diego region. They made a superb classic S/T 7" (Well known for the emotive hardcore movement in San Diego. The 7inch has 5 badass songs that will make you mosh pit your dining room. They also released a 12" called Obsessed With... It has 8 songs including, there's a softer side of Guyver-One when you hear there song entitled "My Own Movie" it has a piano playing and slow paced drums and guitars. I believe in the lyrics he says "It's hard to fight you, it's hard to find(fight) you. When it's ******" god damn I really can't hear what he makes up since the drums hit a bit harder when he says that little part of the sentence. One of the songs from the 12" was also featured on a Compilation, I can't remember though, but thats all they offered during the band being active. If your a big fan of Reversal Of Man, Jeromes Dream, Portraits Of Past. It's clearly to state, you will like this band as well. I found them back in late 2008 when I found Honeywell in the forgotten blog "Hardcore For Nerds". Despite this band being genius I only found one live set playing one of the songs from there 12", pretty fucking epic. I sometimes wished I was 16 during those times and see them play together. Sadly for me, I was born in 1992 I but made me experience moments such as Capsule, ColorChromatic, Beau Navire, and such of todays awesome DIY bands that were influenced by these great classic bands. I know to many thrashers, they look up to Metallica's LP "Ride The Lighting" as the main concept of there genre as well as Slayer's "Hell Awaits" for us DIY freaks and Emotive Hardcore kids we see Guyver-One's S/T 7" as one of our own main concept what Emotive hardcore (little kids say it with me "Emo Violence") is all about. Along with Reversal Of Man of course. But yes, definelty check this band if you love 90's. No not Nirvana, or fucking Sublime; But real DIY shit like these band Guyver-One. I got to say, that's a pretty dope ass band name, luckily this band was DIY. If they were mainstream I bet you the Japanese anime cartoon Guyver-One would sue this sexy ass band. DIY or DIE !!! Note: I had to upload the s/t 7", I don't fucking know why people post stuff on mediafire and then fucking delete it. Its fucking annoying, I searched everywhere for the s/t but had no luck... Now I am very lazy uploading this crap for you guys, it's not my fault a few were very very late of the game; but then again I really want you guys to dig this band and hear them so I uploaded them for you. Here is also a video of them. :)

Them roaringtwenties

Lately, for the past two weeks I've been listening too twinkly, jazzy, indie, math rock instrumental bands. I have to say, when you sleep on that shit. Your dreams get fucking trippy as if you sleeping while your on acid. Fucking crazy. Them, roaring twenties released 2 demo's one called "Vagina Monologues" with 3 songs, and another called "Feeling a little out of the other, something or other/ Forget what words meant what by" which has 2 rough track versions of the first and only full length they released called "Future Sandwich". Okay, listen carefully.... When I heard this album, basically it feels under my opinion, like if your about to eat and the acid you took from the 4 tabs just kick in and all this noodly sound kicks in your heard and start tripping the fuck out. Just my opinion when I heard it. Very hard to describe, though I know many bands that sound like this but not as fast as these dudes. It's some gnarly shit. I know this is a blog of Kali sounds of hardcore punk, skramz, whatever you want to fucking call it. But sometimes it's good experimenting with other types of music (especially to bands that come from Chicago, city of Jazz). This band is as well reffered to the term youngsters use "Twinkle Daddies" though I know that was only a joke that many young ones don't understand and just turned out to be used as a "Real name" for a genre. But yeah, take a listen, I don't want you to miss out on these groovy ass beats, and by the way it's fucking free so might as fucking well, right?. Note: the first 2 demo's are links from last.fm which you can download those songs for free, the future sandwich link is from mediafire.

Tragic Ends

Here is another band I found in bear records, they were giving free cd-r's of there tragic ends EP so I managed to grab 2 of these copies (I love when record labels give out free demos of bands because you'll never know what you'll expect and it be a honor to have a physical copy of them like most bands). Nonetheless this band is fucking groovy I don't know if this band has disbanded or not, they don't post much on there facebook page til last night about something coming soon. Anyway, the 2011 demo is totally different from the bad friend EP so I decieded to post bad friend as well since no one has. Pretty brutal hardcore punk band that reminds me of such acts of 90's emotive hardcore bands Asshole parade. I'm not sure if they only have these two releases, I heard of another demo by them but I don't see it anywhere on the internet. The EP came in plastic sleeve cover and also it came with a pin, so I'm always rolling with a pin on my sweater and another on my backpack when I go to my classes (my college is filled with lame kids, most of them) Bad friend EP has two songs that aren't on the demo so yeps. I am hoping they haven't split up. I want more releases by this epic ass band.
