American Football

No this doesn't mean I will also post Mineral, I cant listen to that band anymore. Well I remember hearing this band around early 2009 it brings back the times I would ditch highschool and go to Cerritos mall. And also a buddy of mine Diego's house. Good times. Well This band did a EP and full length. I think they did 3 unreleased tracks. Apperantly I have 2 of them. One is an acoustic and one is an instrumental track. Well I am sure many of you already know American Football. Those who don't what the cock, you been missing out. A really slow emo band who Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz) was in this band Ohhh yeah Cap'n Jazz people. Unlike Cap'n Jazz who were more of a tappy, happy band AF is more of a slower type. Though the band started in 1997 and broke up in 2000. There self titled 3 song EP came out in 1998 and there self titled full length was released in 1998. Polyvinyl Records are still selling these albums on CD and 12" vinyl. So yeah you guys should get them. They aren't too expensive for some classic releases. You can buy them here. As for the unreleased tracks. I found them on limewire long long ago.

Damezumari

Well I do remember checking this band out on that Somplace to hide/Damezumari/Steeples split. First 2 tracks I heard was Spazziest ever and Gravity is choice. I even learned how to play Gravity is a choice when I heard it. This band existed from 2004-2009 I believe the band did about 7 releases. There coulve been 8 but there supposely last release Blood Meridian 7" was never released. They also released about 6 unreleased songs that didn't come out on Compilations as intended or because they weren't satisfied with the songs. Not to many people know the existence of Damezumari. What makes this band powerful is the lyrics. There pretty fucking good. "Wherever I sit I die in exile From the life I never had The life of the body. Effects less than obvious And decidedly wrong Imaginary worlds breathe and stand And take a life of their own
"- Normality is Just Something You Are. There song lyrics are fucking good. I have tried to get a few friends hooked up on this band. But didnt really quite got hooked up on the vocals like I did. Apperantly The lead vocalist/Guitarist sent me a message through facebook on the last 4 unreleased rough demos they recorded in September 2009. Those songs arent from the last 7" they were suppose to make, my guess is these tracks were just rough demos of some kind for fun. I have also posted these tracks on the file below to download along with every complete release they did. My favorite releases must be the first 3 CDr demos they did, Something about them are pretty fucking cool. Even the artwork design are fucking cool, despite the awesome bands name. What got me interested hearing this band is there bands name. Its pretty fucking sexy if you ask me. I heard of a last show they did but from what I heard was that not to manny people went to see these guys one last time. Thats fucking bullshit. The band also went on to move to San diego I believe and release some stuff there.

First song I ever heard by this band

The band did 3 demo CDr's. Angelus Novus contains some tracks that were on No Hugging= No Learning Demo and also 4 new songs from Angelus. The politics of lonely coints 3 new tracks which one of them Gravity is a choice was later apperead in there 3 way split with Someplace to hide and Steeples.

No Hugging= No learning (/30 copies)March 2004

Angelus Novus (/80 Copies)October 2004

The politics of lonely (/30 copies)May 2005

The band then finally released there first 10" entitled "hitherandthithering waters of" in May 2006. Its a side a side b vinyl of consisting 6 tracks that were fresh

hitherandthithering waters of 10" (/330 copies)May 2006

Damezumari went on to release there first split in CD format and did a split with Someplace to hide and Steeples. This is where I first heard Damezumari (well took a listen to them from this release. I heard of them back in summer 2010. They released 6 tracks which Gravity is a choice came on this split but a newer version.

Someplace to hide/Damezumari/Steeples Split CD (/500)October 2005

After the release of the 3 way split. The band did another split with Team fire charlie. 4 new jams came out on this split. Though it was recorded in May 2006-December 2006, this split was out in May 2007. It did took them about a long while for the release of this split. I am not so sure why. Maybe a small break during this time and focused on writting material

Damezumari/Fire team charlie split 12" (/490)May 2007

hope inscribed on handbills 7" was the last 7" they released it included 4 new songs, this is actually one of my favorite 7"s by this band. The 7" is pretty narrow shirt, but a good one. Title comes from a description of the opening to the plot of steinbeck's 'the grapes of wrath' - i have no idea whether the phrase appears in the actual book. it's meant to apply both to my own decision to move out west to california, from oklahoma, (the same journey of countless okies in the book's historical era) and to the genre of the zine, the individual instances of which can be both incredibly meaningful and entirely generic and cliche, usually at the same time. it's hard not to get cynical because of the overload of so many people writing in what is supposed to be a deeply personal and intimate form.

hope inscribed on handbills 7" (/500)December 2009

Whatever happened to there last 7"? well it never came out or was ever recorded. Though us fans do hope for the band to finish this last 7" one day. Though on there site it says the 7" was recorded in September 2009 Which I do not see it anywhere on the internet and is rather more mentioned than released.

Well here are all the releases this band did. Including there rough September 2009 demos. I sometimes believe these demos are from Blood Meridian but with different name titled. I wish to believe these were just rough demos that have nothing to do with the last 7". So that they can release this 7", it is mentioned its on 12" but I don't know what kind of band would release 4 tracks on a 12" vinyl; Might as well release it as a full length while your at it. The band also did 6 unreleased tracks that were suppose to come out on some of these releases and some compilations but never happened so therefore they are unreleased with no specific release. They did a Portraits of past cover song "Something less than intended" which I think they did a neat job on the cover song while the other 5 were originals but had there reasons why there unreleased.

You can check there web page, it has lyrics, meanings, info on there releases, etc. It is interesting to know what this band achieved.

Damezumnari web page

Since they posted all there songs for free might as well I shouldve make a mediafire file of all the songs they did so that you wont have to download one track one at a time. Plus the file I uploaded has that September 2009 rough demos which I believe they are the Blood Meridian tracks

Forever they will live on broken up or not. Damezumari to me is like a band that will fly and lead on messaging our future children and so forth. This band will forever live on in my soul. The band finally did the last tour I believe in 2010 heres the whole footage I believe of there whole tour

James Dean

I just had class today, I went to my psychology class and to be honest It looks like those classes where I want to get high before I go and smoke a whole and trip in the class. Well james dean is a emo/punk/??? band from Australia I dont know when they started but I believe they broke up in 2007. They left 2 self titled releases. There James Dean CDr and a self titled 7". The self titled CDR contains 5 tracks, one track from the CDR came out on the s/t 7" which is "into the hospital" Some songs like "Turn this iron handle" which is my favorite song by them have a mix blend of emo/ska ish/reggae. I love that little cute stoner sound these dudes play. But they only left 8 songs and a music video :/. But its a rad awesome band I enjoy as well. I believe there was a band called the let go which was a pre James dean. I heard of an EP they did and some unreleased tape which sounds alike james dean but less stoner sound to it (whatever) Watch the music video and hear there awesome tune. I posted the mediafire file with both releases on there. I can't say much since I don't know much of this band. I do know there rating is : F for fucking sexy.

This song is my mother fucking life here

Exasperation Missionary

Class for me just started and I am on a low buget so I needa get a job soon to buy shit for college. So Here I am on a post. I present one of my favorite Skramz of epicness. Exasperation Missionary (Anthony Jimenez) is my boy, the dude just got back working for this stuff again making a tape. He released a 6 track self titled EP in 2006, Dues Ex Machina EP in 2005 which has 5 tracks and a 2009 tour EP that has a live set feel of 4 tracks which were previous songs from from the first 2 EP's. From there, E.M wasn't heard til the end of this summer He released a mixtape on soundcloud called "Berdachism inside a storm" It has re recorded versions of tracks he has done already only with different names and much more of a raw attitude (which I like) he has told me that he is doing a total of 19 other songs I think which will be in 2 different releases an EP and a full length. I am fucking stoked thats all I can fucking say. This sexy beast can sure scream really fucking good. Its so odd that no one has talked about his new release from what I know of. Blogs totally fucking should cause this band is fucking epic. I found this band on Lyrics will not reach the audience back in the day in 2009. I would get high and trip out on the 09' tour EP. It was a classic back in my High School days. Fuck I think ima just get high to this shit again for old times. I uploaded E.M So Far discography 2 Ep's, tour EP and that new mixtape all together. Also If any are wondering on the track names of the new stuff I posted them below.

Thursday

Here is another post of a great band that went big and released shit afterwards entitled to my opinion. I gave a shot to this band in Summer 2008 listening to there first 3 releases that 1999 summer tour demo, Waiting, Full collapse along with there live EP Five Stories Falling EP. These bring back memories of that whole summer, sometimes when I close my eyes and listen to this band I can see everything of that summer. Its fucking wierd. When I heard War All The Time it was actually pretty decent I won't lie to that it had some killer tunes. But after that, it was like listening to shit no offense to any Thursday fan. A city divided by the light isnt my most or least favorite album though I thought it was pretty bad. I enjoyed some of the early demo tracks and live tracks featured on Kill the lights which was pretty cool of them to make an album of this stuff. That split with Envy was god damn horrible. I don't know if they thought making a 7" split was cool and DIY of them, it sorta felt like a mainstream band just copying what most DIY music does. I think they couldve done a split when they released Waiting or basically not join a major label aat all and not do Warped Tour "Land of the posers and fairy fucks". (ENTITLED OPINION don't need loose buttholes) Common existence was pretty bad too though a song "Funeral Subway" reminded me of Full Collapse which shouldve been in that album along with "Last call" and "As He Climbed the Dark Mountain" other than those 3 tracks the album is a shit bag. I will finally move on to the last release which they claimed it would sound like Full Collapse. No Devolucion, besides the fact Epitaph Records have extrememly shitty albums. Though Thursday is a great band, it felt like they half assed there last length. It sounded nothing like Full Collapse or even War All the time which was done after Full Collapse or to the you the truth Waiting... At least they shouldve done it like there album Waiting; but no there heads were in there fucking asses and fucked it all up especially in there last 2 albums and god damn target especially there last album. Great band though I can tell you that. I felt some Emo vibe in there first 2 albums while War all the time had a post hardcorish feel which is okay and the rest sounding like some sell out. I heard sell out in A city diveded by the light, Common Existence and No Devolucion. I will give them credit for making the first 3 lengths extremely powerful to make up for the last 2 shitty lengths and that half assed split. Well if none of you haven't heard of Thursday they are very good, there not as bad as im saying they are it's just the last 2 full lengths I don't know I didn't like them they sounded off, different (not the good different), and like they just did whatever just to release a album. I did here of some splits they did which were called (Sampler CD's) thats fucking stupid. It featured a few songs from Waiting, Full Collapse and War all the time. The band is currently in Haitus god knows for how long, but if they do get back together I hope they see the mistakes they made. Some people say Waiting was released in 2000 but the album was released in late 1999. Well anyways you can download the GOOD stuff here. I am glad I heard them that summer though

Emanuel

Oh what no one remembers this band?! Well for those who were into the 2005 warped tour. This band actually had a chance to play up there and release 2 full lengths under Vagrant records. Pretty Major right? Well some history of emanuel. Emanuel started in the late 90's as Emanuel Nice. Songs were very poppy rock which the members got embaressed later on. As Emanuel Nice they released about 2 Ep's and 2 splits. There first 8 track EP released in 1999 entitled Hi-skool trivia which is shit. They then released and split with Lanemeyer in 2000 following that same year they released another split with Colourbone and the split entitled "Steinbach2Clarksville" and finally there last EP was released in 2002 entitled "wait" which is my favorite out of all there releases. The band took time until around 2005 they made a heavier sound and then were signed to Vagrant which there album "Soundtrack to a headrush" was released this is one of my 10th grade albums I just fucking loved. I remember watching there music video "You cannot rape the willing" and "Make tonight" which were the bands singles. The band did recieved attention but sadly not widely enough (Which is bullshit. Most fucking bands that play in warped tour are fucking horrible. When finally a decent band like Emanuel plays the shitty crowd hardly pays attention to the. Is it me or it is it that kids like shit coming out of faries assholes.) Anyways They also did a cover song which came out in Tony Hawkes American Wasteland, I thought the cover song was cool. In 2007 they finally released there final album "Black earth tiger" They had a few great songs. Well I thought this album was good actually. I couldn't believe Vagrant Records released a pretty cool album for once, (They also released Moneen's the red tree which was pretty good too) Well because the album didn't meet it's sells. The band broke up. Thats right. Shitty mainstream labels are like that. All they want you to do is make songs and sell out for them. The band went to a phase were "you didn't make enough money from this album, good luck with whatever label wants to help you" I hate mainstream labels. These guys shouldve joined a DIY label. Well the band released a music video for one of there tracks called "Cottonmouth" Pretty good video too. There song "Hey man" also came out in another video game Burnout revenge. I would always play that song while playing that game. I did hear that the band members still gather and play sometimes for fun in the basement. Well I know its been 3 years or 4 that the band has been broken up. Ugh Why hasn't Chiodos or A day remember not broken up those bands are serious shit. There last album was pretty heavier than Soundtrack to a headrush it had more of a violent sound to it. Though both albums are great.I guess mainstream fariy crowds have horrible ears for music. The band are now doing a hip hop project shit called 812 Dirty Squad. Emanuel also released a rap song called Kryptonite. I like the singers Sweater/Jacket it looks badass on him with the pins in make tonight and the willing music video.

For The Shits And Giggles- Undercover Hoe's Demo

Yeah, .Elaine. the now For the shits and giggles. New drummer too. Well We havent completed the demo yet but by the end of August we should. It will be a 5 track demo of course entitled "Undercover Hoe's" The artwork well it stands for e.m is all I can say which is relevant to the track titled "E.M.I.A.U.H" Which on the .Elaine. Post of the unreleased tracks I mentioned of a song titled "Estephanie Martinez Is A Undercover Hoe" I shortened the track. Anyway. We are also thinking of recording an EP in the fall maybe about 6 tracks along with a newer version of E.M.I.A.U.H. I already know the next songs were going to record for this demo. I don't know if there will be a physical release of this demo. It's a maybe of 25 CDr and 10 on tape copies of this demo using the same artwork as below. So who the fuck is the chick in the artwork, well there's a reason why the demo is entitled "Undercover Hoe's" no? Thats right a undercover hoe. Were hoping on doing small shows around for friends and new friends. Well spread the word of this awesome new demo (shitty demo) were doing and the band For The Shits And Giggles. By the end of August this demo will be done and available for free at our bandcamp. Demo's will be sold at our show for $2
